Newburgh Man Arrested For Cocaine Possession

“Plattsburgh City Police Arrest Newburgh Man For Cocaine Possession”

On January 30th, 2018, members of the Plattsburgh City Police arrested Rashaun M. Roundtree (32) of Newburgh, NY for one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (B Felony).


This arrest was the result of information that developed from an ongoing investigation into local narcotics sales. That information led to the issuance of a search warrant for a house on South Catherine St in the City of Plattsburgh. After executing the search warrant on that residence, Roundtree was found to be in possession of approximately 6.9 grams of cocaine. Police estimate the street value of the cocaine to be in excess of $1,000.


Roundtree appeared for arraignment in Plattsburgh City Court on January 31st, 2018 to answer the charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree. Roundtree was later transported to the Clinton County Jail (No Bail).


Jackson’s arrest was the result of an investigation by the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit. The execution of the search warrant was conducted by the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit, the Plattsburgh City Police Special Response Team and the Adirondack Drug Task Force which is comprised of members of the Plattsburgh Police Department, New York State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
