“Plattsburgh City Police arrest local man for Robbery”

While conducting a burglary investigation in regards to a commercial burglary in the downtown Plattsburgh area (Westelcom Suites, Mckinley & Moore Tax Services), Plattsburgh City Police officers were able to apprehend a suspect for an unrelated robbery.

Plattsburgh City Police officers conducted an extensive investigation into a strong-armed robbery of a senior man outside of Mama J's bar and were ultimately able to identify and arrest Kimarley J. Christman (27) of 7 Tara Ln, Plattsburgh, NY as the perpetrator of that crime.

The robbery took place in the early morning hours of December 1st, 2017 in which Bruce Hunkins (65) of the City of Plattsburgh was robbed of a large sum of cash (in excess of $1,000) after exiting Mama J's bar.

Christman was charged with one count of Robbery 3rd degree (D Felony) and one count of Grand Larceny 4th degree (E Felony). Christman was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court on February 19th, 2018 for those charges. He was sent to the Clinton County Jail on $5,000 bail/$10,000 bond. He will reappear in Plattsburgh City Court at a later date.
