The City of Plattsburgh proudly presents the 3rd Annual Discover Service & Earth Day Festival

Plattsburgh, N.Y.— The City of Plattsburgh invites organizations, clubs or businesses to join us on Sunday, April 22 from 10a.m. to 2p.m. at the City Recreation Center for the 3rd Annual Discover Service and Earth Day Festival.  This is an opportunity for clubs and organizations to recruit new volunteers as the community is engaged in Earth-friendly activities.

Interested organizations are invited to staff a table inside of the Recreation Center. We will provide a table and chairs and people who wish to learn more about your organizations. In 2017, more than 20 non-profit organizations participated and gleaned new volunteers for their group.

“Ours is a community that embraces grassroots efforts and connects our various groups so the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This event allows organizations to spread the word about the good work they do, to educate the community, and to recruit new members. Please join us on this community-building day,” said Mayor Colin Read.

If interested in recruiting more volunteers or getting involved with the Earth Day events, please contact City of Plattsburgh Events Intern, Paige Palmateer at or call 518-536-7458 by Friday, April 6.
