PRESS RELEASE

“City Police Respond to Bomb Threat at Bombardier”

DATE OF RELEASE: 09/16/2019

TIME OF RELEASE: 8:30 pm

On September 17th, 2019, at approximately 2:50 pm, the Plattsburgh City Police Department responded to the Bombardier Plant located at 71 Wall Street in Plattsburgh, for a reported bomb threat.

Preliminary information indicated that an employee discovered a non-descript bomb threat, written on a wall inside a bathroom, inside the main facility on Tuesday.

Police evacuated the plant and with the assistance of a New York State Police Bomb Detection K9, searched the property for explosives. At 6:20 pm, with no hazardous or suspicious materials having been found, the site was turned over to Bombardier management to resume operations.
