The Plattsburgh Retirees’ Association received a Temporary Restraining Order regarding the City of Plattsburgh changing the method of delivery of Health Insurance Benefits for Medicare Eligible Retirees.
This decision affected only the 92 litigants in the petitioner’s motion. 121 retirees that were not specifically named in the Restraining Order did have their coverage changed effective January 1, 2016.

October 8, 2015: The Common Council approved changing the method of delivery of Health Insurance Benefits for Medicare Eligible Retirees from the Self-Funded Traditional Plan to a Premium-based Humana Medicare Plan.
