(PLATTSBURGH, NY - June 23 2022) - After the success of the first event, The City of Plattsburgh and Fidelis Care are excited to host the second Parks Come Alive! event on Thursday July 7th. It will take place at Melissa Penfield Park at 139 Boynton Avenue from 4:30-7:30PM. The City of Plattsburgh will be making an exciting announcement regarding an investment being made by a local company into our city parks. You won't want to miss this news!
About 200 people gathered at the June 2nd event at Peter Blumette Park to enjoy the West End Park live performance, the beer garden, the food trucks and the arts and craft activities.
“We were overwhelmed with the turnout and support for our first Parks Come Alive! event in Peter Blumette Park. Our community truly cares about our public parks and we are excited to host the next event in July and are expecting an even bigger turn out!” says Courtney Meisenheimer, Community Engagement Coordinator.
Join The City of Plattsburgh and Fidelis Care for this second edition, as we present local band Ursa and the Major Key as our live performers. The DogFather, Mr. Ding a Ling and Tammy’s Lunch Box food trucks will satisfy your cravings while Oval Craft Brewing will be serving your favorite beer (21+)! Local organizations will be present to entertain the kids with fun arts and craft activities. Fidelis Care will be providing food tickets that can be redeemed at the food trucks while supplies last.
Moreover, as part of the City’s Parks Renewal Project, event attendees will be able to provide feedback on the project and share ideas, feedback and wishes for our city parks! We encourage the public to attend and help the City answer the question, how should we reimagine our local city parks?
These events are free to attend and family friendly. Beverages will be available for purchase and Fidelis Care will be providing food tickets to redeem for free food at the food trucks while quantities last!
