Please do not rake leaves into the street

The City of Plattsburgh would like to remind residents that they should not rake leaves into the street. This is prohibited under Section 205-1 of the City Code and more importantly leaves in the street create a hazardous condition for bicyclists, motorcycles and vehicles. Leaves are collected for free as long as they're bagged in a biodegradable bag and placed on the curb.
