Plattsburgh Municipal Lighting Department (PMLD) is composed of 26 employees. Aside from major projects, PMLD keeps busy by fixing power outages, repairing old lines, removing fallen trees, updating electrical sources in order to be more power efficient etc.

Notice of Proposed Generic Tariff Revisions - Case 24-E-0498
Please take notice that on September 4, 2024 the New York Municipal Power Agency (“NYMPA”) issued and filed with the New York State Public Service Commission (“Commission”) Tariff leaves to amend its Schedule for Electric Service, P.S.C. No. 1, Electricity to become effective April 1, 2025. These proposed changes to the General Information and Rider A are corrections to regulation references or numbering that will not impact customers. You are receiving this notice because PMLD is governed by the NYMPA Generic Tariff. In addition, new Riders B and C are proposed which the City of Plattsburgh has no plans to adopt. The filing before the Commission is available online at the Department of Public Service website, www.dps.ny.gov, by clicking on "File Search" (located under the heading "Commission Files") and entering "24-E-0498" in the box labelled "Search by Case Number."
