Halloween Events on October 30 in the City!

On Saturday October 30th, the City of Plattsburgh will be full of spooks, treats and maybe even a few tricks!

Beekmantown middle school students are hosting a 5K Run/Walk, and 1 mile fun run. Registration begins at 9AM and the Walk/Run kicks off at 10AM. Prizes for best costume and fastest time! Following the run there will be a Trunk or Treat from 10:30AM-12:30PM at the US Oval to benefit the North Country Honour Flight Veterans.

The Z Group Real Estate is hosting a downtown trick or treat event where participants can stop by numerous downtown businesses for a treat between 12PM-3PM. Building on the success of last year’s Downtown Trick or Treat event, which drew over 1,000 people downtown, this year’s downtown festivities will feature a Downtown Business Storefront decorating contest, with the winner chosen by the public. Unlike last year, participants do not have to follow a designated route around downtown but are asked to remain on sidewalks and obey traffic laws and signals.

The City of Plattsburgh will be transforming Trinity Park into a Spooky Street from 12PM-3PM, where local businesses that do not have a downtown storefront can participate in handing out treats. Costumes are not mandatory but highly encouraged! The Downtown Trick or Treat and Trinity Park Spooky Street events are free and no registration is required.

If you would like to register for the 5K Run/Walk A Thon please contact William Duffany at honorrun@bcsdk12.org

If you are a local downtown business that would like to be added to the list of participating businesses, please email chelsea@thezgroupny.com  no later than Monday October 25th.

These events will enforce the most current COVID precautions recommended by the Clinton County Health Department.
