The City of Plattsburgh recognizes its beach as one of the greatest features and attractions to both residents and tourists alike. Famed as one of the largest fresh water beaches in America, the City has been planning improvements to the beach since 2016, when a Waterfront Feasibility Study was conducted. In the summer of 2021, a Beach Implementation Plan was created by Saratoga Associates and presented to Common Council for review.
